The objectives are aligned with the IEEE Diversity Statement:

IEEE is committed to advancing diversity in the technical profession, and to promoting an inclusive and equitable culture that welcomes, engages, and rewards all who contribute to the field, without regard to race, religion, gender, disability, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
DEI committee aims to assess the impact of dimensions of diversity, equity, and inclusion activities of the OUs of IEEE Italy Section and identify potential areas of focus for future initiatives, thus building a plan to increase the activities aimed to become a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive group that welcomes and supports all individuals.
