During the IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS2016) held in San Francisco, California, 22-27 May 2016 and organized by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technique Society (MTT-S), an Italian undergraduate student of University of Pavia, Giulia Maria Rocco (IEEE student member) has been awarded of one of the 10th Undergraduate/Pre-graduate Scholarship – (https://www.mtt.org/students) of IEEE MTT Society for her project proposal.
The research proposal presents a low-loss and reconfigurable microwave components in SIW technology, manufactured by 3D printing. This device will open new perspectives in the field of wireless sensor networks and the Internet of Things, thanks to its compact size, flexibility, easy fabrication, and low cost. Her faculty mentor is Maurizio Bozzi (University of Pavia), IEEE Senior Member.
Congratulations to our young student member for this important award!
