Dear fellows,
We warmly invite you to the PhD Summer School of Information Engineering – SSIE 2022, which will be held in Brixen this year too, continuing on a decades-long tradition.
SSIE will take place in Brixen, Italy, in July, 11st-15th. This year, we are grateful to have the possibility to plan our school in presence. We will go back to our traditional venue to take part in technical talks and lectures on cutting-edge ICT technology, while having the possibility to enjoy fellows’ company.
This year, the School features twenty-six reputable speakers, and two Tracks:
- Track 1 – Machine Learning, Sustainable Edge Computing and Networking.
- Track 2 – Gallium Nitride and Semiconductors for Power Conversion: Present and Future of Materials for Energy Efficiency.
Registration is now open, with June 30th, 2022 as a deadline for enrolling. For logistics, see here.
SSIE will also feature a half-day student workshop, where students will present their research activity. The best presentation will receive an award, jointly presented by the IEEE Italy Section and the Department of Information Engineering (DEI) at the University of Padova.
Moreover, PhD Students participating in the School will be awarded five credits from their doctoral school (further instructions will be given during the School).
We dearly hope many of you will join in, to enjoy the wide range of interesting and stimulating lessons and the natural beauty of our School venue in Brixen and its surroundings.
